the big apple: take a bite part III

And last but not least the final post of our little getaway.

Did I mention the weather was beautiful every day? It was. We lucked out. What better to do on a sun-shining summer day in New York than head to Central Park. We grabbed coffee and breakfast and follwed the yellow brick road {not really}. Did you know the park is 843 acres? We walked on various paths, over bridges, through the zoo, past the carnival, and had snow cones just people watching. There is enough in Central Park to keep anyone entertained for days.

On our way back towards the hotel we took our time admiring all the beautiful buildings. The beautiful-tall-close together buildings.

We even passed through a street fair/farmers market. A fun unexpected find right in Manhattan. We also saw an old friend.

Not really, but we walked through Rockefeller Center and popped in the NBC store. After lots and lots of walking, we were ready to SIT down for a quiet dinner. We headed to Haru for some sushi. It was the best we've ever had. In our life. Oh my. It was good. We sat at the sushi bar and filled our bellies full. Trying new combinations and sipping white wine.

We ate at other amazing places (including incredible Sesame Chicken in Chinatown) and enjoyed the sights, hussle and bussle of the city throughout the week. I hope you enjoyed the highlights and a portion of the photos!

It was a love-ly week! {But we are sure glad to be home.} oxoxxo
