Christmas on New Years Eve

Mom hosted Christmas. Christmas on New Years Eve. My family kindly waited to celebrate since we spent last week with Hunkaroonie's family. (Although it was nice because we spent Christmas Eve with both sets of parents at our house! It was really special. We are lucky they love one another.)

On the menu was Beef Bourguignon. We started with a signature drink, appetizers, and then lettuce wedge salad w homeade bleu cheese dressing. Yummo.

We sipped Champagne, played catchphrase (a tradition- men vs women), and opened up presents. We were spoiled by the many lovely gifts. We enjoyed the addition this year of our new brother-in-law but missed my bro who couldn't make it back from AZ. (Miss you Beshamonie)

Then it was time for a little photo shoot. We needed to document what Isabella looked like on her 9th day in this big world. (She looks just like mama sis and so precious you'll want to eat her.)

Being with family is a perfect way to ring in the new year. We watched the ball drop and turned the lights out at 12:05. Perfectly perfect on our account.

Waking up to a brand new year, there's just nothing like it.
