a big sky and a drag strip

We were able to take a long weekend and get away to the farm. It was a glorious few days. Not your typical weekend at the farm but a perfect R&R weekend nonetheless. Rednecks & Races.

The sky is bigger and the pace is slower. The air is easier to breathe. The sounds are different and the landscapes never end. It's a place where you don't have to impress because no one is judging you. They care more about how you're doing then how your hair looks. It's a place where yeah, everybody knows your name.

night at the races

We spent our evenings at the drag strip. Sipping on chilled beverages, applying sunscreen, and talking about nothing, anything and everything. Creating a swarm of paparazzi for our hunky drivers. We practically had to fight the crowd off.

It's summertime and the livin is easy.

pep talk

I wouldn't trade this Rednecks & Races weekend for anything. Not even for a night at the Ritz Carlton with sushi dinners and latte mornings.
