After we arrived at MamaSis' I greeted everyone with the evening's signature drink.
(Made with equal parts pear liqueur, pear nectar, and vodka. Shake over ice and garnish with a dash of cinnamon and a slice of pear. Pretty fall fabulous.)
The tablescape which sat nine was a pefect setting for this fall evening. Included candles, flowers, twigs & branches, clove covered pears, moss, burlap, luggage tag namecards (which doubled as the favor), and menus held up by wine corks (thanks Hunkaroonie).
The five course meal spanned throughout the evening and was served by Rita's two friends. (Thanks Katie & Sylvia) It was such a treat to sit around the table and enjoy the evening with MamaSis and not be in the kitchen. (Although my type A personality didn't allow me to stay out of the kitchen all night!) In between courses we played a couple (not bachelorette themed) games and opened up gifts.
Majority of the evening we sat around the candlelit table. Music playing softly in the background with laughs and stories taking center attention. Our glasses were never empty (although we switched from the signature cocktail, white & red wine, and champagne to hot cider & water as the night progressed) and the room was never quiet. To me, the sign of a perfect party.
And you know why all the planning, prepping, and cooking paid off?
MamaSis gave a teary-eyed toast as we blew out the candles and before the guests went home.
