We are a lot different in a lot of ways. We are a lot alike in a lot of ways.
She knew what she wanted. (We are alike in this way!) The list: Not for it to be called a bachelorette party. No going out to the bars. No dancing on the tables. No inappropriate games (i.e. pin the 'ah-um' on the man). Just a small gathering. That's classy and fun.
It took me awhile, but I figured it out.
A girl's night out honoring our beautiful bride. Guests needed to come camera ready for a girlfriend photoshoot at a secret location to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage.
I had a picnic table set up next to the barn with fruit, cheeses, olives, crackers, and champagne for the girls when they arrived. (Let me note: sharp cheddar cheese with fig spread on a cracker is something from the heavens.)
After a little bubbly and a quick nibble, we took some pictures. Some goofy. Some senior picturesque. Others with bright colored lollipops. All while enjoying the beautiful fall-sunny weather with good company. MamaSis was together with all of her closest girlfriends. All whom have been there throughout the years in good times and in bad.
After the photoshoot we headed to MamaSis' where we had a 5 hour long candlelit dinner party.
It was fabulous.
I'll share that part tomorrow.
