this weekend around the house

It's beginning to look like Christmas at our house. I feel like I got a late start this year. I think it's because Target puts the holiday decorations out the second Halloween is over. Maybe it's because we've had jam-packed-family weekends since November. Or maybe I just procrastinated. Whatev, it's only December 6th. Our lights are up. Our tree is decorated. The stockings are hung. Falala cups are out. Let the holidays begin.

Hunkaroonie and I did our annual holiday shopping at MOA and knocked it out (98% complete). That's how it's done. One day. Shopping. Done.

We stocked our refrigerator and pantry with ingredients for comfort food like soups, roasts, and spaghetti & meatballs (see pictures of homeade marinara sauce).

It snowed almost 8 inches so we ended the weekend with a fire, some football, The Elf, and a huge plate of pasta.

And there you have it folks. The weekend. In a nutshell.
